  • power of attorney

  • wills

Choosing Our Roots is proud to partner with Arciniega Street Productions to bring you the first DRAG LOTERÍA of the year – but this time, as a fundraiser for our SafeRoot Anchorage program!

On Sunday March 9th from 5-7:30PM, we'll beat Williwaw Social enjoying drag performances, good food and drinks, and playing a fun Mexican cultural game for several chances to win prizes from your favorite local businesses! This event is 16+.

There will be high-energy drag performances between rounds of games. PLEASE BRING $INGLES and tip your artists!

General Admission tickets are $15, but for folks who can/want to give more, we have other GA and table options available where you may donate more. We strongly encourage reserving your spots early. Lotería is free to play! Playing card included with ticket/table. Food and drink will be available for separate purchase at Williwaw.

Arciniega Street is proud to collaborate with Klondike Drag to bring you the FBX wing of our latest quarterly drag show, LATE NIGHT SNAX! Our FBX stop will feature the talents of local drag artists Ice Watah, Cry Baby, OSHA Violation, Ella Mental, Oasis Debris, and Charlie, and welcome a very special guest – none other than THE Widow Von'Du from Season 12 of RuPaul's Drag Race!

1 NIGHT ONLY: On Saturday, March 1st, join us at Good Titrations for a cannabis cafe drag show! Doors open at 7:30PM for guests to arrive, find their seats, and order snacks, beverages, and green from Good Titrations.

This event is ideal for groups. We strongly encourage folks to reserve tickets and tables early as our events always sell out. Please bring cash to tip your performers and your service staff!

Food and drink sold separately from tickets!

This is a 21+ show and IDs will be checked at the door. Guests under 21 are not permitted inside the venue and NO alcohol is allowed on the premises. Good Titrations will have a great selection of cannabis, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks available for separate purchase.

Future Dreaming and Your Advocacy Superpower for LGBTQ+ Folks and Allies

This session will be highly actionable, giving you lots of ideas for how to use the skills you already have—be it conversational, organizational, educational, or something else—to build a world worth living in for yourself and those you love.

We'll walk through a "Future Dreaming" exercise, in which we ground ourselves in the world we want to build, to prevent our advocacy from coming from a place of fear, pity, or anger. To close out the session, we'll also talk through a number of critical self-care and community-care strategies for advocates to ensure that we can avoid burnout as much as possible.

All identities, knowledge levels, and skill levels are welcome!

Join Alaska March On and Stand UP AK on January 18 for the Alaska People’s Rally at Anchorage Town Square—because your voice matters, and your presence makes a difference!

1 PM - Outdoor Rally
We’ll kick things off with an empowering rally featuring dynamic speakers to inspire, challenge, and ignite action. Meda DeWitt will motivate us. Pastor Matt Schultz will make us think. Rose O'Hara Jolly will fire us up with calls to action. Our MC, Erin Jackson-Hill, will guide the event, and Mary Schallert will lift our spirits with moving a cappella music alongside her group.

2 PM - Indoor Planning Session Downtown at the Williwaw following the Rally
After the rally, we’ll continue at Williwaw for a planning session to keep the energy going and work together for lasting impact. Bring your energy, bring your passion, bring your belief in the power of community!

For our inaugural showing we will be playing Chicago on the big screen while surprise performances happen throughout the movie!

This is also a fundraiser! A portion of ticket sales will benefit Kachemak Bay Family Planning Clinic in Homer.
