Bear Tooth Presents: DRAG Me to the Movies!
Do you love going to the movies? Do you love drag shows? Well, do we have the party for you! Grab your friends and join some of your favorite local drag artists for the debut of our new series DRAG Me to the Movies! For our inaugural showing we will be playing Chicago on the big screen while surprise performances happen throughout the movie!
This is also a fundraiser! A portion of ticket sales will benefit Kachemak Bay Family Planning Clinic in Homer.
There will be themed food and drink specials and dressing up is strongly encouraged!

Join Alaska March On and Stand UP AK on January 18 for the Alaska People’s Rally at Anchorage Town Square—because your voice matters, and your presence makes a difference!
1 PM - Outdoor Rally
We’ll kick things off with an empowering rally featuring dynamic speakers to inspire, challenge, and ignite action. Meda DeWitt will motivate us. Pastor Matt Schultz will make us think. Rose O'Hara Jolly will fire us up with calls to action. Our MC, Erin Jackson-Hill, will guide the event, and Mary Schallert will lift our spirits with moving a cappella music alongside her group.
2 PM - Indoor Planning Session Downtown at the Williwaw following the Rally
After the rally, we’ll continue at Williwaw for a planning session to keep the energy going and work together for lasting impact. Bring your energy, bring your passion, bring your belief in the power of community!

Polar Pride Prom
Are you ready to celebrate your true colors at the Polar Pride Prom? Join The Queen’s Guard on February 22nd, 2025, from 7 PM to 11 PM at the Nave on Spenard in Anchorage, Alaska, for a night of fun, music, and community. Mat-Su Action Night: Wishlists for Legislators
Join ACLU of Alaska's Queer & Trans Justice team as we write out our holiday wishlists. Rather than writing to Santa, though, we'll be listing out what we want from our legislators in the new year. We'll have sample letters, will help you find who represents you, and together we'll send a batch of holiday mail along just in time for the new legislative session.

The training aids participants in examining their perspectives while helping them become better allies for the LGBTQAI2S+ community.

Resource Mapping and Resilience Building for LGBTQ+ folks and Allies - Online
Consider this session your boot camp for surviving the presidency to come.
We'll talk through important strategies for avoiding burnout and empathy fatigue and build our emotional capacity muscles. We'll also go through a resource mapping exercise to help you develop a better understanding of what resources are available to you and the people in your community, and how you might be able to pick one or two of these resources to get involved in. Through this, we'll create action plans that empower us to get involved and build community.
This online event will be hosted by Ben Greene, a transgender advocate and community organizer living in St. Louis, Missouri.

Unpacking U.S. v. Skrmetti: Gender-affirming care in Alaska - Online/Zoom
Join the ACLU of Alaska’s Legal Director, Ruth Botstein, for a discussion of U.S. v Skrmetti, the Supreme Court case challenging Tennessee’s law as a ban on hormone therapy for transgender youth. The case will be argued by Chase Strangio, the ACLU’s LGBTQ & HIV Rights Project Co-Director, in front of the Supreme Court on December 4th. While a decision is expected in mid 2025, Ruth will provide insight about the arguments, how the decision could affect healthcare for LBGTQIA2S+ Alaskans and legal strategies for protecting access to gender affirming care.
